[ So Valentine's Day doesn't particularly mean much to Mikado, except that it's February 14th. That means he's been in Luceti for roughly three months and... things are starting to become routine. He's gotten used to the wings, meeting people who aren't human or have different standards or have strange-sounding jobs are starting to feel normal. The experiments are a nice break from the routine, but he's afraid that one day he's going to find that normal as well. He's starting to notice himself adjusting to this exotic land and it's scaring him a little bit.

More than that though, he's really homesick. Lately he finds himself comparing everything in Luceti to something from home, and just more frustrated knowing that he's not able to go home at will. The most recent experiment was just a blow to the face--seeing Anri after what felt like forever just made him realize how incomplete he feels without her around. Romantic feelings aside, he's sure that this homesickness wouldn't be so bad if all three of them were back together again.

Basically? Adjusting is a bitch. ]

[ Well Mikado is not going to just plop down on the floor there, so he'll tentatively place himself at the edge of the bed, looking around curiously. Alarm bells are going off in his head like THIS IS DANGEROUS but pffff. ]

So... Which one are we going to watch?

[ shuri reluctantly lets go of that hand and retrieves his movies, holding them out in a fan. ]

[ He looks them over thoughtfully actually trying to pick out a movie. Maybe something action. Those movies are always fun. Though it doesn't really occur to him that they might not be actually watching it.

He points to one with an interesting cover. ]

[ BY THE WAY YOU PICKED DRAGONBALL EVOLUTION no. it's some action movie with bruce willis in it. shuri flips the case over and nods to himself, pops it in the dvd player and bounces down onto his bed next to mikado. ]

[ NOOOOO So he's watching the movie and he feels kind of awkward just. sitting there. Especially when Shuri's presence is RIGHT THERE and it's really distracting.

So... he grabs a pillow and decides to lie down on his stomach and watch the movie this way. Better. He feels a lot less awkward now. ]

[ oh, mikado. shuri's paying attention. sort of. but he's more interested in getting close and comfy because he doesn't care about personal space and he'd really rather feel comfortable and cozy.

[ So Mikado's made himself comfy and doesn't really mind now that his shoulder is probably all up in Shuri's thigh's business. The movie is mildly interesting. He's seen better. ]

Aaaaand he's getting tired of laying on his stomach, so he's going to go sit up again and cling to the pillow. And sitting with shoulders touching. Yep. ]

[ GLITTER EVERYWHERE, that would be totally awesome. Looking over at Shuri, and realizing that wow their faces are really close. His heart is going crazy and his face is probably really red now. ]

[ Managing a smile and leaning closer on to him, studying his face.

Part of the logic in the back of his head is so confused as to why he's suddenly so incredibly affectionate to someone he barely even knows, much less a guy. Part of him is like "just get up and go home!!!" but he actually can't bear to stand the thought.

Whatever, he's so happy right now it's like nothing else matters. ]

[ He'll calm down after half a second and decide, hey, this actually isn't that bad, and he'll tilt his head a little, leaning into it more.

The movie is entirely forgotten. ]

[ reaching up to lightly stroke mikado's hair. he may feel bad about stealing your first kiss later, but for now it's probably the best experience of his life. ]

[ He sighs and whatever tension he had is completely gone. He unwraps one of his arms from the pillow and reaches around the back of Shuri's waist, trying to pull him a little closer. This must be like heaven or something. ]

[ closer he goes. he loops his arms around mikado's waist.

and after a while, he'll be pulling back, letting his forehead rest against mikado's. ]

[ Mikado opens his eyes again when their foreheads touch, and spends the next few moments just. looking at Shuri. His face is flushed and he just can't wipe the smile off of his face. ]
