[ So Valentine's Day doesn't particularly mean much to Mikado, except that it's February 14th. That means he's been in Luceti for roughly three months and... things are starting to become routine. He's gotten used to the wings, meeting people who aren't human or have different standards or have strange-sounding jobs are starting to feel normal. The experiments are a nice break from the routine, but he's afraid that one day he's going to find that normal as well. He's starting to notice himself adjusting to this exotic land and it's scaring him a little bit.

More than that though, he's really homesick. Lately he finds himself comparing everything in Luceti to something from home, and just more frustrated knowing that he's not able to go home at will. The most recent experiment was just a blow to the face--seeing Anri after what felt like forever just made him realize how incomplete he feels without her around. Romantic feelings aside, he's sure that this homesickness wouldn't be so bad if all three of them were back together again.

Basically? Adjusting is a bitch. ]

[ keeping the journal open just in case he says anything else. It'd be rude if he shut it first, right? ]

[ OKAY at least he doesn't feel bad!

Anyway, getting ready super fast and heading over to the cafe. His heart is pounding like crazy and his face feels hot. He's just going to meet Shuri for some tea or something mundane like that, right? This has happened before. WHY IS HE ACTING LIKE THIS.

Well, standing by the entrance and waiting for him. ]

[ meanwhile, shuri's just excited. there's no fluster or panic, just pure confidence! though, he does find it a bit strange that he's just as excited to meet this guy as he would be if ~~konatsu~~ someone he actually liked showed up all of a sudden.

there's a beaming smile as he spots the other. SPARKLE SPARKLE oak sparkles of joy everywhere. ]

Mikado~!

[ Mikado sees that smile and really just can't help but beeeaaaam right back. Now he's absolutely sure he's blushing. Oh god this is so embarrassing. ]

Oh, Shuri-senpai! Hello!

Were you waiting long? [ since when have you ever cared about being late, shuri? ]

No, not at all! I just got here, so... [ looking at Shuri is causing him to go nuts. Averting his eyes just so his face won't explode from blushing. yup. ]

Let's go in, then! [ sparkle sparkle GLITTER ]

O-Okay!

[ Turning around to enter the store... SUDDENLY SELF CONSCIOUS OF EVERYTHING HE DOES... and straightens out his jacket a little bit. ]

[ following after! oh, look - seat next to the window. he grabs mikado's arm and tugs him on over. ]

[ OHGODOHGOD HE'S TOUCHING MY ARM...

This is happiness. Oh my goodness.

Taking a seat at the table and is just smiling up at Shuri. This feeling is almost like... ]

[ ...how he feels about Anri, but like, amped up to the extreme.

...wait ]

[ "I thought I liked girls?!?!"

And suddenly he's fallen head over heels for a boy he barely knows?! ]

[ but...

he really likes him... ~~for some reason~~ ]

[ is just going to be... sitting here, with this sudden expression of pure confusion on his face. Don't mind him he's questioning himself right now. ]

[ he drops into his chair gracefully, casually grabbing the menu from another, currently unseated table and takes a look over the selections.

this could be a period of deep thought. but shuri isn't exactly known for that. the warm feelings he has for the nearly complete stranger seem completely normal to him - as far as he's concerned, it's not much different than the absolute adoration he feels for konatsu. just... stronger. a lot stronger. there's something about this guy that makes him curious, and for some reason, he's happy to be around him.

of course, love, for shuri, is like any other thing that he feels. all consuming, unquestionable, and easily accepted as the most logical thing in this world.

a look up. what's with that face? ] Is something wrong?

Blinking out of his thoughts he looks back at Shuri with a sheepish grin. ]

Oh, n-no! I'm okay! [ leaning over to take a peek at the menu ] What were you going to order?

A slice of cake and a cappuccino. [ holding the menu out with a smile~ ]

[ Taking it (STILL SELF-CONSCIOUS) and glancing it over ] Hmm... I think I'll have a muffin and black tea.
