⑤ - Action/Voice

[ When Mikado finally comes to, he realizes that he's no longer in that uncomfortable Malnosso cell, but rather sprawled out even more uncomfortably in the snow. It takes a few moments for it to register that he's finally out and in the familiar scenery of the town square.

Well, he's not sure how long he's been in the snow; his pajamas are soaked and he is freezing. He would have just shot up and quickly made his way home as fast as he could (oh god, how much have Masaomi and Frey and Celty worried?!), taken a warm bath then wrapped himself in blankets and gotten a proper sleep. Would have is the key word here.

He manages to get his upper body out of the snow but for some reason, his legs won't move. Oh no, was he out so long that he got frostbite?! What would happen if they had to amputate his legs? Would he be able to get prosthetic ones?! Did Luceti even have that technology? He tries to pull up his pant legs to see the extent of the damage, but his fingers are so numb he just fumbles.

Thank god there's a conveniently placed journal nearby, right? ]

[ voice ]
M...

M-Masa...omi? Are you there? ...Frey-s-san, and Celt-t-ty-san, anyone?

...

I'm, I'm by the f-fountain. I... can't move.

[And Frey slows to a stop near Kida. He also decides staring is doing nothing, so he's going to hold out a blanket to Kida. Stop yanning and help him, you dolt. He's back now.] We brought blankets and warmer clothing. What's this about you not being able to move?

[He doesn't see any blood. Were there broken bones....?] Ah.... and thank you for finding him, Mr....?

[As Celty can't say anything here, and interjecting with the cell phone would likely get confusing, she just stops Shooter and slides off the side. It's your lucky day Mikado, you get to ride home on a large, black headless stallion.

And yes, that scarf. She's very glad you're back because... really. You were supposed to have solved the gang business.]

[When Frey steals his thunder, Masaomi settles for a little glare over at the guy he's addressing. Yes, a little glare but it speaks all kinds of volumes. Except not really. Let's wait on the answer to his girly counterpart's question]

Kennedy. [He doesn't give his first name as a default when he's guarded. He shifts the lame boy in his arms, trying not to show the strain it's causing him. He's military, but even he can only go on like this for so long without getting tired.] I take it you're friends.

T-Thank you so much. [ Who is it directed at? Even he's not entirely sure. He's just grateful to be out and alive right now, albeit a bit shaken up.

But his eyes wander back to Masaomi, and he's not even going to try to hide the worry on his face. There are about a billion things he could say to him right now but none of them leave his mouth. This might not be the right time anyway; he'll save it for later.

So he'll go ahead and answer Frey's question, ] For s-some reason, my legs can't move. I... I don't know if it's frostbite, or... [ hint: it's not ]

Frostbite.....? I don't know anything about that, but maybe.... Would you mind if I tried healing magic? [A worried look. Or maybe theey should get him to the medical center or clinic.....?]

[....Yeah that does sound extremely worrying. She takes a few steps forward, offering her arms to take Mikado from Kennedy. If it didn't respond to Frey's magic they would need to get him to a doctor right away.]

...Mikado's my best friend. [He says this to Kennedy, now focusing on him intently. He tries to make his face less glare-worthy, but the smile really doesn't reach his eyes one bit. As for the frostbite, the others have it] This is Frey, and that- [He points at the woman offering to take said lame boy] is Celty-san.

[Archie gives a nod as he shifts the boy into Celty's arms, more than a little stunned by all he's seeing.]

Well then. As long as I get the blankets back. Take care of him.

[He says this with a slightly dazed smile. Anyone who's been in Luceti long enough can probably smell a new feather a mile away, and this one is clearly still getting used to strange sights. Healing magic? Anyway, he nods warmly toward Mikado, trying to blink the afterimages of a long-gone friend out of his eyes.]

Pleasure to meet you, Mikado.

[ This is another polite nod. ] Yes, likewise, Kenned-dy-san. [ It's a bit of a strange situation for formalities like this, so he makes a mental note to return the blankets personally and thank him formally then, if or when he's able to walk again. :|a ]

Thank you for finding him, Mr. Kennedy. [And since Mikado didn't voice any protest to the idea, he'll steps forward, his right hand glowing blue.] It'll feel a bit warm. [And Mikado's legs take on that same blue glow as he tries to cast light of day using the Dawn Rune. Better sun magic for something cold related, right....?]

[~~Because Celty can't talk I got next.~~ Masaomi nods and then relaxes into a more easy smile] Eeeh~ We'll be sure to get them back to you, Kennedy-san. Thanks.

[And after that, he turns to focus on Mikado. and only Mikado. Mikado alone :| ]

[Archie gives another polite nod, not sure what to make of the honorific.] You're welcome.

[With that, he leaves them to their business. It only then hits him that he can always pick up more blankets. Ah, well.]

Okay... [ He nods in the direction of Frey, signaling that he can go ahead and try the magic. ...Sure, it does feel warm, and he tries to at least move his toes or wiggle his foot but from what he sees, no result.

He turns to look at everyone else (and Kennedy has already left, too late!!) to see Masaomi staring him like that. He'll just stare back, but with a different expression. And eventually his eyes will rest on that yellow scarf.

...sob ]

Is there any change at all.....? [It doesn't look like it, though. Oh dear.] We need to get you to a doctor.

[He hangs his head and starts to just... well, walk on ahead] We'll go to that one in the Battle Dome. Celty-san, why don't you go ahead?

[she nods... and then heads for the horse. Trying to lift him onto the Shooter's back would be complicated so instead, she pats his flank. Responding to her command the horse materializes his open carriage. Aren't you lucky Mikado, you get to ride with a Dullahan in style.]

[ Ooh wow, he's only ever seen her motorcycle so his eyes widen in awe at the sight. Dullahans are pretty fly, man.

Though he feels bad that Frey's magic didn't work; he turns to face him. ] S-Sorry, Frey-san...

I should be the one apologizing. I don't know much more then healing magic, I'm afraid. [He'll wave and turn to follow Kida.] I'll go with Kida. Take care of him, Ms. Celty.

[ :| FINE. They'll go together, but Masaomi isn't happy. In fact, he's going to straight up cut through the woods to go in a direct line. And try not to talk]

[Celty meanwhile is galloping ahead (after giving Mikado a shadow-helmet. Can't be too safety conscious.) When the other boys arrive they'll find Shooter just chilling outside the building.]

[ Wow, that was fast. First time in contact with a horse and buggy and it did not disappoint. Seems that they beat them though by a good bit, though so all there is left is to wait...

Sitting in awkward silence isn't his idea of a wait though. He pulls up the blankets tighter around him. At least he's warmed up quite a bit now. ]

Um, Celty-san...?

[Celty, who is sitting beside his bed now while they wait for a doctor, and is missing Shinra more than usual at the moment, immediately perks up and holds out the phone.]

Aaah~? I noticed, Frey. [No really, do you think he's blind or what]
